Torrenta just got hit by the Proboards Version 4.5 Update! Yay!!! =DD
...
Or rather, not. Site will be glitchy for a few days while I go hunting for some v4.5 codes and a new keyboard! xD So please, bear with the glitchy-ness for a while ^^;
Happy April! =D

TORRENTA IS CLOSING.
Okay, April Fools. xD
Now to get away from that mean joke, we have saved 91 cows. With 6 that were abducted.
Yup, insanity.
So yeah, that's it. Beware of the farmers coming to save their cows. I hear they're bloodthirsty for revenge. D:

Easter Giveaway has ended. For those of you who participated, hope you enjoyed your new Pokémon! March Activity Check is about to come to a close, so I suggest you post before your account and characters are deleted. The Character Interactions board is going along smoothly; the Torrenta Messenger has a whole bunch of hilarious IM messages from everybody's characters, and along with that, there's been a Radio Station revival!
Sign up to become a radio announcer and your character(s) can host a radio show of their own! Of course, there's probably more news, but for now we'll leave it at that. This update is already packed.
Cheers to Mr. Dragonmonkey, who is now at 32,252 unique page views.
Nifty.

MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Please... do it for the cows.

New default skin! =D I hope you all like this one as much as I do.
Also, the Dry Season has officially started two days early (mostly due to the fact that I'm lazy). Hurrah! =D
Anyway, what are you doing reading this? Go and congratulate FLY. and &Emi;; for getting promoted as the new G-Mods!

SO, FOLKS. I'd like you all to give a warm, big-hearted, warm, lung puncturing hug to FLY. Why, you ask? Why? She's our new G-MOD, silly-willies. c:
LOVE HER.
And, there's something special in the making... so don't tune Torrenta out just yet. ;D

New main skins, discussions about Legendaries, new stores, badge revamps, new places to explore, mod of the month... new everything! Yes, the crazy people in straitjackets are hard at work. We're still alive and kicking, Mr. Dragonmonkey has reached 25,751 hits, and we've also got a brand-spankin' new premium Cbox donated by our wonderful Staff Manager, knuckleheadtrainer!
Nifty.

Felt the need to update... well, one of our admins was demoted, and another staff member rose up to the plate. Interesting, yes? In any case, Torrenta is Still Alive, baby!

The Torrenta Region
[ ]Torrenta Region Pokémon Lab (1 sub-board)
A cobbled stone pathway leads to the Torrenta region Pokémon Lab, bordered by neatly trimmed grass. This laboratory meets all modern expectations; automatic glass doors, tiled flooring, the most current up-to-the-millisecond machinery, and, of course, Pokémon. Here, the famed Terra Green as well as many other esteemed professors come to work and study. Oddly, however, something always seems to be exploding or amiss in the laboratory; this is most likely to be blamed on the rookie lab aides and assistants who commonly take it upon themselves to help out the newbie trainers, coordinators, and breeders looking for their very own starter Pokémon.
3052,079
[ ]Route 01
Route 01, a mostly forested area with a few small trails dotted here and there, is the first destination for budding newbies and their newly acquired starter Pokémon. The main pathway is made naturally of rocks and is surrounded by usually green trees, while many a variety of Pokémon, accustomed to novice trainers and coordinators passing through, go on their way expecting to be challenged to battles. Because of the random fights, however, a lot of the Pokémon on Route 01 are extremely reclusive and hard to find, though most Pokémon passing through go on their merry way. Interestingly, on the main trail, there is a humongous crater blocking the pathway, as well as a few felled trees and scattered rubble. Rookies will have to find a way around this obstacle if they wish to continue on their journeys.
40598
[ ]Harku Village: The Mountainous Community (1 sub-board)
What was a forested but still rocky Route 01 turns into a village situated at the foot of a mountain; Mt. Tiykao, the still-active volcanic range, throws its shadow over Harku Village. This mainly quiet mountainous community only has as much activity as it does because of the first Pokémon gym located at its center. The buildings here are all one-story, usually with small banners hanging from their doors of Heatran, the mystical mirage Pokémon of legend. Intriguingly, along with extensive reputations of their hospitality, most of Harku's villagers are kind, modest, and humble; the one exception to this trend would be their Gym Leader, Gorin, infamously region-renowned for his extraordinarily big mouth.
11317
[ ]Route 02
Route 02 is one of the more dangerous places in Torrenta; a mountain pathway that leads out of Harku Village and is elevated gradually twists around one of Mt. Tiykao's higher crests. Many ledges bridge out to different parts of the precarious trail, and if travelers have especially bad luck they might find themselves hugging the wall so as not to fall off. The moisture in the air due to the height of Route 02, all the same, can be extremely refreshing considering the constant heat. Many nooks and crannies that Pokémon inhabit can be found here, so Pokémon trainers and coordinators won't be without a fight on their trek to Sealan City.
785
[ ]Sealan City: The City of Flowers (3 sub-boards)
Sealan City is a definite refreshment for most adventurers, and provides relief from Route 02's unsuitable atmosphere; one of Torrenta's most bustling cities, but still able to maintain a peaceful atmosphere, Sealan is covered in plantlife of all kinds and is placed in a lush valley of avid Grass-type lovers. The buildings are styled in a colonial-era fashion with many potted plants and environmentally decorative statues, but a good handful of the public buildings are modernized. Sealan is also a great tourist attraction because of its large drove of 5-star hotels, exotic restaurants and other travel destinations, but is mostly region-famous for being the host of a Pokémon gym and Contest Hall. The gym's calm and wise leader, Arcia, as well as her notoriously sexist sister and leader of the Contest Hall, Amara, reside here.
9111
[ ]Route 03
After you take a path to leave the lush valley of Sealan City, things begin to dry up until water becomes so scarce, you could consider this route a desert. Pokémon adapted to the heat rush over the dunes, particularly Rock and Ground-type Pokémon. You must continue on if you wish to reach the sea.
468
[ ]Kargarius City: The Coastal City (1 sub-board)
After crossing the fiery Route Three, you reach the coast, which seems to be covered by a huge city! The people here so adapted to the water are also in harmony with the large amounts of Water-type Pokémon. Many people come to Kargarius on vacation, so expect to encounter a lot of tourists.
517
[ ]Kargarius Suspension Bridge
A huge suspension bridge that stretches out from the large coastal city of Kargarius to the small island where Fyra Town, among other things, is located. This bridge crosses a huge amount of water in an attempt to reach the craggy, volcanic mountain where Fyra Town is situated. Many Electric-type Pokémon as well as Water and Bird-type Pokémon thrive on the bridge.
317
[ ]Fyra Town: The Hot Volcanic Community (2 sub-boards)
After finally making it across the long and arduous Kargarius Suspension Bridge, you wind up in a small town similar to that of Lavaridge Town in the Hoenn region. Fyra Town lies on the rocky cliffs of the still active Tiykao volcanic range, its source of electric power coming from a clever system that harnesses the power of the range's heat, fueling the town's needs. Stray Fire-type Pokémon are common, and the town is often assaulted by erratic wind patterns. Here, the gym leader Candance lies in wait.
46
[ ]Glacier River
A short while after leaving Fyra Town, you come across a massive river. A small business has been set up to ferry trainers from one end of the river to the other. The ferry to Glacier Town is, however, not very well maintained and has been known to leak or even come apart entirely. Small stray glaciers are usually lying in the ferry's path, and feral Pokémon are often found aboard the ill-prepared boats of the ferries, so don't expect it to be a pleasant ride down the river!
12
[ ]Glacier Town: The Village of Blizzards (1 sub-board)
After tumbling across Glacier River, you reach a frozen island... or at least what appears to be an island. It's actually a huge glacier. Here resides Glacier Town, arguably one of Torrenta's most frigid locations. Ice, Water and Steel-type Pokémon are commonly found wandering around, and most of Glacier Town's inhabitants prefer to live in log cabins. In this place, old man Forgurn and peppy kid Cheney wait, the final gym leader and the final Contest Master of the Torrenta region.
34
[ ]Victory Air Transportation Service
After toughing it out at Glacier Town, miles away from the glacier's location is a humongous rocky mountain. Lying atop the mountain is the city of Zephereon, and to help aspiring Pokémon trainers or coordinators up, a transportation service has been set up. It would take forever to scale Mt. Victory, so you have no choice but to take the huge blimp. Don't worry, just show them your badges or ribbons and it's all complimentary. But be careful; wild Pokémon have been known to hitch a ride onboard the blimp, unbeknownst to the caretakers of the sky hook.
238
[ ]Zephereon City: The High-Tech Metropolis (6 sub-boards)
Welcome to the technologically advanced city of Zephereon! This capital city has thrived with its towering, monumental buildings and people. It has received its name when it was once in the care of the city’s deceased mayor, Athos Zephereous. Whether you’re here for important matters or to simply hang out, be sure to check out some of the sights while you're at it; you'll never know what you'll find.

Other Regions of Torrenta
[ ]Apartments, Houses, & Abodes (3 sub-boards)
Some of the many residents of Torrenta just want to kick back and relax, let off some steam… you know? This is the directory of houses in the Torrenta region; if any Torrentian has bought an abode, this is where it’ll be located.
14358
[ ]Reusable Energy Plant
Welcome to the Torrenta Reusable Energy Plant. Here there are an assortment of solar panel and wind turbine fields. Because of the large amount of electricity an assortment of wild Pokémon have also decided to call this place home, so be careful not to get zapped.
329
[ ]Tower of Heaven
An ancient, hidden tower on a small abandoned island. This antiquated and supposedly mystic tower is said to hold an ancient secret. It seems to touch the skies, but when construction began on the tower, no one seems to know. Thunderstorms constantly pour here, though it holds a fantasy-like appeal; despite the constantly pouring rain, it's always quiet. It's as though something different is in the air here. Be careful not to lose yourself, and don't fall!
692
[ ]Trainer Hill
Here, you can battle fake trainers and earn training experience and levels without battling poor defenseless (heh) real Pokémon or convincing real trainers and/or waiting for them forever to make a move. From Aroma Ladies to Dragon Tamers, you simply post a thread with the team (and their levels) of the Pokémon you want to train, and let the battle commence!
591,729
[ ]Trainer Lounge (7 sub-boards)
This is an area for those looking for travel companions, a place to relax and unwind, to find rivals or just trainers to battle, etc. It is spacious with a battle floor, Pokécenter, café and lounge. You can also come here to shop.
81680
[ ]Breeders INC (2 sub-boards)
Adopt a Pokémon here, or become a breeder and let others adopt Pokémon from you. You can also open an Adoption Agency so that if you have Pokémon you've caught previously in your adventures that you don't want or can't handle anymore, you can adopt them off to good homes.
NOTE: Please read the rules before becoming a breeder or an adopter.
521,388
[ ]Snow Fields (1 sub-board)
Welcome to the Torrenta Snow Fields! Here you can search for new Pokémon, have a bite to eat and something warm to drink at the café, rent some ski equipment, and explore this year ‘round icy attraction! Don’t forget to take the chair lift to the top of the mountains, the views are spectacular! But be sure to dress warmly. People have been known to wind up missing because of the constant snowstorms, and most have never returned safely … or at all.
984
[ ]Volcanic Hot Springs (3 sub-boards)
The fresh water hot springs of the Tiykao volcanic range hold many healing abilities, and it’s the perfect place to relax or train your Pokémon. It’s very hot and there’s quite a humid atmosphere, though many rare water Pokémon live in the springs and a large assortment of Fire-type Pokémon often come down from the mountain to drink. Finally, the path up the mountain has opened, and Mt. Tiykao is officially open for exploration, though you can still content yourself with the Fire and Water-type Pokémon that lurk at the mountain’s base…
6151
[ ]Deserted Graveyard (1 sub-board)
The Deserted Graveyard is infamous for its bountiful supply of Ghost and Psychic-type Pokémon, closely followed by its large number of missing persons reports. The graveyard is no longer officially tended to by anyone but is in no way unkempt. A common belief is that the lost spirits of the Pokémon and humans who were buried here who have not found peace roam the area protecting the final resting places of those whom have fallen…
9111
[ ]Torrenta Caverns
A huge cavern, many Pokémon that like dark areas or a rocky habitat live here. Upon entering the large caves, a towering tunnel branches off in one direction before splitting into three more pathways; if you don't have a flashlight or a light-producing Pokémon then expect to get lost in the never-ending caverns.
4110
[ ]Forest Deepgreen (2 sub-boards)
The trees of Deepgreen are towering, some of them even rivaling Garda in height. The fragrance of nature drifts throughout the forest, and many secluded rivers and lakes are scattered all over the humongous grove. The climate is cool and refreshing, and many different Pokémon can be found here, resting or playing. There are rumors that perhaps, if you look hard enough, The Voice of the Forest will appear to you, and that there is something more sinister lying within Deepgreen’s depths. But, who knows. Rumors are rarely ever true…
12295
[ ]Gutix Beach (1 sub-board)
Gutix Beach is famous throughout the Torrenta region for its fine white sand, quantity of rare pearls and collectible shells and the many Water-type Pokémon that live there and in the tidal caves at the southern end of the beach. It's the perfect place to train or relax with your friends and Pokémon…
10163
[ ]Abandoned Train Station
This is the abandoned Night Train's station. Many believe it to be haunted or deserted, but no ghosts mind it, nor is it kept in a neat and tidy condition like the graveyard. The only time Ghost Pokémon don't haunt an area is if it is already occupied and protected … but who would want to protect this dump? What exactly is lurking within the Night Train's walls? Only a few stray Meowth and the odd Pidgey or Spearow visit…
